Travelling to Málaga
Málaga can be easily reached both by airplane and train. Aeropuerto de Málaga – Costa del Sol (IATA code AGP) offers connections to over 60 countries and daily links to the main Spanish cities.
The airport is conveniently connected to the city centee by train, bus and taxi. Trains are operated by the national railway company (Renfe). Regular frequency is about 30 min and the journey to the city center is about 15 min (check the exact timetable here). The most convenient stations for hotels located in the city center are Málaga-Centro Alameda and Málaga-María Zambrano.
The city center can also be reached by bus (Express Aeropuerto line of the city buses). Regular frequency is about 30 min and the journey takes about 15 min (get more details here). The most convenient stops for hotels located in the city center are Avda. Andalucía, Alameda Principal and Paseo del Parque. Please, beware that you have to pay in EUR and that the largest denomination you can pay with is 5 EUR.
Finally, reaching the city center by an official taxi should cost around 25 EUR.
Málaga is connected to Madrid, Córdoba, Zaragoza, Barcelona and Granada by the Spanish high speed train (AVE). Trains are operated by the national railway company (Renfe). Check timetables and prices here. The train station is María Zambrano (check it here on Google Maps). It is located in the city center, at about 1.6 km from the conference venue.
